Hello family! We are here again to discover Marta, the mommy behind the insta of @martadamars. She lives with her team in “Villa Damars” as she calls it and affirms that without Dani (her husband) nothing would be possible. Valentina's mom and waiting for Julieta's arrival says that sometimes she would like to have a little while to get bored but that it is impossible. And that's not all!! She tells us that she loves changes, she adores her entire dog pack (she has more than 5 dogs at home) and that thanks to them she is a better human. He lives in the countryside next to the beach and that is one of his dreams come true. In addition to all this, he has his own business... Fiuuuu yes there is a topic 😉 We leave you in his company.
Marta: A gift. I doubted for a long time if I would become a mother, I didn't want to think too much about it to prevent that suffering from conditioning my life, that's why when the pregnancy came I decided to enjoy it, live it to the fullest and avoid fears. I thought it might be the only time I'd experience it and it made me appreciate it twice as much. Valentina came to bring out the best in me, give me security and make everyone around us a little happier for having her in their life. In motherhood there are desperate moments that you cannot imagine before becoming a mother that can happen to you, but I am one of those who thinks that there are people who have a worse time and that has made me see my motherhood as a luxury.
M: It's complicated, especially at the beginning, but I was clear that she would be my priority. That saved me a lot of frustration since the first months you can't do much more than dedicate them to her and I thought that if I covered much more nothing would work. I dedicated the first year to it, then the idea of starting a business arose to be able to conciliate and be able to be present at all times. It is not easy, but it is not impossible and every effort has its reward. I thought that the priority was to get organized "but in motherhood there is everything but order" one day you have something important to do and your daughter wakes up with a fever and the end, the priority is her. Sometimes I work at a reasonable hour and other times it's my turn when everyone is asleep.
M: Ten years ago I started sewing felt by hand and combined it with my work as a shop assistant. When I became a mother I knew that I wanted to undertake, but in something artisanal that there were no intermediaries and that is how Mamakadamia emerged. Each piece is lovingly hand-sewn. I feel that today the hand made is valued, people know how to appreciate the product and the hours invested. There are more and more people who want to have a handmade piece at home, bet on small businesses and value it.
M:As a mother right now my priority is to continue seeing the happiness reflected in my daughter every day. I'm five and a half months pregnant, I just wish everything goes well :).
Professionally I can't cover more, in Mamakadamia I invest a lot of time and all I think about is creating more little things. I also advertise for brands on RRSS and the little time I have left I invest there.
M: Being an entrepreneur may seem like a world apart (like motherhood) but it can be done. It is not easy and less so at the beginning because you need a lot of information that is not at your fingertips. Bet on you, on your product and sell it as if you were going to buy it every day.
L&L: We're done with the questions! Now you have to tell us who you would invite to be the protagonist of the next post of “What's behind the insta of @……….”
I would love for you to interview Alba @mamizanahoria, a young mother of two beautiful children, who works as a team with @estatodoinventado. She is like me an entrepreneurial mom and she has recently returned to working life away from home.
The world is a handkerchief, the grandmothers used to say… Well, we have to recalculate our plans, as we have already interviewed @mamizanahoria in one of our first posts, we will go in search of @estatodoinventado to see if he answers some questions .
It was great to meet Marta and share this “virtual piece”, as she calls it. With each interview we end up reaffirming that motherhood and fatherhood are enormous engines of change and that they move us all towards the search for our happiness and that of the whole family. Without formulas or recipes, each one giving their best so that our little ones grow up healthy and happy.
We have reached the end family… We will be back soon with more! Arrivederciii
