What would become of us without those photographs that capture precious moments to make them last a lifetime? Mar, the instamom behind @yvolar, an entrepreneurial mother of 3 children, has made us reflect on this. We have just interviewed her and she tells us about her family and professional life.
Family, the truth is that we get to say "chapeau". Now you will see how well she has assembled everything, her work (which by the way she is passionate about) and motherhood, by telling you that we are thinking of proposing to exchange our lives for a while... hehe, yes, first she will have to give us some tips for working with wood and take charming photos. Shall we meet her? Well... see you at the end 😉
Mar: Ufff… a lot. I think no one knows what motherhood is until you actually become a mother. You have your ideas, you hear things, you read... but each maternity is a world and yours may look something like your original idea, but it is a constant surprise and learning. I have 3 children, with the first I didn't read anything, I did things as they came up. For not doing, I didn't even go to the pre-delivery classes... With the second one I did. And like that, a thousand things. Sometimes I have believed some things, other times others and that continues to happen to me today.
M:Well, I'm not going to lie to you, it hasn't been easy. Personal life yes, in that area I have not had any problems, I have a lot of support from family and friends and Javi, my partner and I, we understand each other very well and we are always full both. The professional? That is another sing. For 4 years I combined my motherhood with office work and when Dani was born, the third of the tribe, it was already unviable.
M: Well, when we found out about Blanqui, the eldest, I felt the need to start something new, something for the children... I think your insides are stirred in many ways when you know that a little life is inside you. That's where our journey began with Yvolar decoration, with wooden names. And when we found out that Dani, the youngest, was on his way, the need arose to make my passion for photography something real, something tangible, something to live off of. And that is when 100% Yvolar photography was born. So I think it is clear that motherhood has greatly influenced my future prospects, my priorities and everything I expect from life.
Now… now I'm hitting photography hard. It is what I like and what allows me to enjoy my children and at the same time be financially solvent to live as I want to live. The decoration part has been going on for many years now, it is something that is more than established and there we continue, working with wood, something that I would even say relaxes us. And… Perspectives? For now, to continue like this, to be able to continue devoting myself to photography, enjoying my children and cutting and sanding wood to be part of the rooms of those little people who are coming into this world and who I am sure will make of it something much better than what we have now.
M:Advice? If you have managed to be an entrepreneur in this country, being a mother has sucked... hahaha
L&L: We are done with the questions… now tell us who you would invite to be the protagonist of the next publication of “What is behind the insta of @…………………… …….”
M: Well, I would invite Alicia, from @house_of_frida. A mother and entrepreneur through and through. Hardworking and fighter.
Here we go Alice! Get ready 😉
Family, we got to this point today, what do you think about flying off in search of a wooden name or a photography session? We say goodbye with the certainty that this phrase will earn more than one positive vote: "Motherhood has had a notable influence on my future prospects, on my priorities and on everything I expect from life."
Happy summer family, may the heat be mild!
